Pennsylvania Beer and Chocolate Tasting — May 9, 2013

The Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Association of Candy Technologists invites you to a self-guided tour of Troegs Brewery, followed by dinner and a tasting of Pennsylvania beers paired with a variety of chocolate confections at Hershey’s Chocolate World.

Tour Location

5:00 PM: Tour of Troegs Brewery.  200 E. Hersheypark Dr.  This is a self-guided tour. Feel free to grab a beer (cash bar) in the tap room and explore the brewery. There are signs and lots of good information to read along the way. Troegs Brewery handcrafts world-class beers that combine traditional English brewing techniques with the eclecticism of new American brewing. They have recently relocated their facility to Hershey.

 
 

Dinner Location

Hershey’s Chocolate World, 251 Park Boulevard

6:30 PM: Dinner and Social Hour with Beer, Wine and light fare

7:30: PM: Chocolate and Beer Tasting

The Pennsylvania beer and chocolate tasting will be led by Roger Sansoni and his staff from Chocolate World, as well as by Tricia Wilson, a Sensory Scientist from The Hershey Company. Chocolates from several of our members companies including Gertrude Hawk, Blommer, Cargill, and Hershey will be featured. This is sure to be a fun evening

 Please RSVP by May 3rd.  The cost is $45 which covers everything other than the beer at Troegs.  RSVP by using our on-line reservation system or by sending an e-mail to Info@PaAACT.org.

The Hershey Springhill Suites has a limited number of rooms available at a discounted rate of $129 for PaAACT members the night of the meeting.  You must make your reservation by phone (717-583-2222), and say you are with the PaAACT.  The cut-off date for the reservations is Friday, May 3rd.
